Lilja Häfele is a Director, Editor and Producer. She gained work experiences by working at Production Companies like the well
known Studio Hamburg GmbH as well as Postproduction Companies, i.e. Magic Farm GmbH, formerly known as Magic&More GmbH / VCC Hamburg.

After graduating studies with very good results she started her career as a freelancer and self-employee in 2007, focused on social and cultural projects and content. Her Bachelor thesis „Conception of a German TV-program for Deaf kids and youth with view on scandinavian
productions“ not only marked the beginning of one of her specializations, Signed Media Content, but also combined her interest in different languages and scandinavia.

Her professional network as well as her private surroundings consider her as a creative, well organized media representative with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to new and unused communication situations. Her love to Sign Languages in general and her hearing roots lead her to different projects in the Deaf community.

Asked about her goal for the near future she states: “I aim to produce content that matters. I aim to give the viewer new perspectives on life, culture and society. Film is a powerful tool I want to use it to make a difference, not to please common conceptions.”
